  • 21st Sycamore Shoals Native American Festival - Saturday & Sunday, June 4 & 5 10:00 am – 6:00 pm at Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton, TN - call 423-543-5808 for more details. A two-day celebration of our Native American heritage! Award-winning dancers, storytellers, artists, and scholars gather at the circle to share knowledge and demonstrate their skills. Come and discover Native American arts, music, and legends, with an emphasis on the Cherokee culture. Admissions charge.
  • Flute Making Workshop - Saturday, April 30, 2011 at at Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton, TN - call 423-543-5808 for more details and to sign up. The cost of this workshop is $100.00 (includes supplies).  Danny will be teaching the art of making a traditional Cherokee Rivercane flute. Come out and join us and you'll have your very own flute at the end of the day.
  • Native American Fine Arts Market - March 25 - 27, 2011. Angel Mounds State Historic Site It’s been years since Evansville’s had a reputable source for fine Native American art, but Angel Mounds has been working hard to fill that gap and revive the city’s zeal through an annual event. On the last weekend of March, six of the nation’s top Native American artists will attend the 4th annual Native American Fine Arts Market. This very select gathering of talent hails from Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, Indiana, and Tennessee. The event lasts from March 26 - 27, 2011 and is free during regular business hours. Opening night reception to be held on March 25th at 5:00 p.m.
  • Unicoi Fireside Art and Craft show - February 19th and 20th, from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.  Danny will have a booth, so come on by and say hello. 
  • The 5th winter Heritage Festival in the Smokies: FEBRUARY 3--6, 2011. Danny will be performing on his flutes and selling his beautiful artwork and Kay will be telling stories.

  • October 6 – 9, 2010 Moundville Native American Festival at the Moundville Museum in Moundville, AL.
  • September 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2010 - 28th annual "Native American Days at Angel Mounds State Historic Site in Evansville, IN. Native American Days spans space and time to present a full narrative of Native American lifeways. The event includes numerous demonstrations and hands-on activities, an Indian market, performance area, and concessions.
  • September 17th, 18th, and 19th, 2010 - Ocmulgee Indian Celebration at Ocmulgee National Monument in Macon, GA.
  • September 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2010 - Indian Summer Festival Milwaukee's Lakefront. Come feel the rhythm and embrace the spirit.
  • August 21st, 2010 - Smokey Mountain Flute Circle at the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center, in Townsend, TN. Times: 10:00 am to Noon. Danny will be selling his flutes and carved shell necklaces.  All are welcome to attend.
  • August 14th, 2010 - Learning the Land: Native Americans at Stagville at Historic Stagville, Durham, NC 27712.
  • July 2nd - 4th - Cherokee Indian Art Market at the Cherokee Indian fair grounds on 745 Tsali Blvd., off U.S. 441 in Cherokee, NC.  Click here for youtube video of the powwow dancing.

  • May 29 - May 31 on the Rankokus Indian Reservation in Westampton Township, Burlington County, New Jersey - Powhatan Renape Nation American Indian Arts Festival. Danny will be performing and he will have a booth setup there.
  • May 15th, 2010 at the Moundville Museum in Moundville, AL.  Hours are:  9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

  • 4 Winds Native American Fine Arts Bazaar - March 27 - 28, 2010. Angel Mounds State Historic Site is hosting its annual bazaar where nationally-recognized Native American artists representing several different media will show and sell their wares. The artists come from all over the United States and represent several different Native American cultures. Each artist is award-winning and has received highest honors at some of the nation's most prestigious art shows. The event lasts from March 27 - 28, 2010 and is free during regular business hours.   • Flute Making Workshop - Jan 30th, 2010 at Smithgall Woods State park, in GA. Danny will be doing a Native American flute making workshop. This is a one day event and you will leave the workshop with the knowledge of how to make a Native American flute and with your own flute. To register for the workshop, call 706-878-3087.

  •  A Concert to Help Second Harvest Food Bank will be held at Pellissippi State Community College, Knoxville, TN 37933-0990, Phone: (865) 694-6400. December 11, 2009 From 7:00 - 9:00 PM, Doors open 6:15.  ALL PROCEEDS GO TO SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK.

    Performing will be Randy McGinnis - Native American Flute and recording artist, George Morgan on guitar, Daniel Bigay on Native American Flute - flute maker and recording artist, Neal Blackwood on Native American Flute and recording artsist.

    Corporate Sponsors are Deerstar Productions and BankEast. Adults $20.00 and Students $10.00.

    We raised enough money to provide 600 meals to the hungry.

  • Flute Circle Event - Meeting at the Appalachian Community Bank, Community Room on Nov 21, 2009 and starting at 7:00 pm. There is a $10.00 donation to cover this event. Contact Dana for more details at: 706-851-7535.
  • October 24th and 25th - 34th Annual Mountain Makins Festival, Morristown, TN.  Danny will be performing here and he'll have a booth setup with his artwork and CDs for sale. Mountain Makins is a folk life/crafts festival celebrating the traditions of Appalachia through traditional music and dance, storytelling, regional authors, fine art, juried crafts, skilled demonstrations, a variety of delicious food, children's activities and more. The festival takes place inside and outside the Rose Center, an 1892 school building which is now an historical museum and cultural arts center.

  • Madison County Arts Council in Marshall, NC - This gallery exhibit is focused on show casing local instrument makers in the area. Our flutes and gourds will be on display for the month of July. The Indian Summer Festival offers a fun and entertaining way to experience the diversity of both traditional and contemporary American Indian culture. A festival theme is used to plan events to showcase American Indian entertainers, musicians, fine artists and craft people.

  • 8th Annual Stone Mountain Park Powwow and Indian Festival - November 1st - 4th at Stone Mountain Park, GA (16 miles East of Atlanta, GA). Visitors will learn about and experience several aspects of Native American culture through dance & drum competitions, music, authentic craft demonstrations, cooking samples and storytelling activities. The festival, which is the Southeast’s premier event of its kind, provides an educational and interactive experience for guests of all ages and backgrounds.
